UnderwritingOur Underwriting department began with the underwriting of
Native American governmental and gaming enterprises (the Tribal First book of
business) and has since expanded to evaluating the Parking, Waste Haulers and
PEPIP programs. ActuarialBesides developing programs with an actuarial mindset, Alliant Specialty contracts with independent actuarial consulting companies to ensure proper pricing and program profitability. Furthermore, our program management personnel constantly monitor pricing on both the program and individual policy level. MarketingAlliant Specialty programs are primarily marketed by their managing broker who is an expert in the particular type of business contemplated by the program. Marketing and distribution support is provided by Alliant Specialty senior executives and program development personnel and is supplemented by Alliant Insurance Services’ retail operations. OperationsOperations approaches policy administration from an account management perspective. This encompasses evaluating the completeness of submissions, reviewing coverages, and completing initial risk analysis before sending to underwriting for final risk analysis, selection, and if appropriate pricing and quotation. Bind requests are routed to the same account manager who ensures proper documentation and payment before issuing the policy. Our operations department handles all aspects of accounting, endorsement processing, and final audit. ClaimsAlliant Specialty’s claims department is managed and operated by seasoned professionals who are dedicated to minimizing loss costs through effective and efficient investigative claims administration. Our adjusters are adept at working within different legal frameworks, detecting fraud and misrepresentation, and minimizing overall closing values because of our long history of managing both first dollar and SIR programs.
